I had the most lovely weekend.
--I use that word a lot. Lovely. That and yummy and yay--
Went to a party and heard a great cover band that played lotsa drinkin college kids songs. It's been a long time, kids, since I've attended a party like this one. Garage, house, patio packed with people. Kegs in the garage. A plethora of different alcoholic beverages in the kitchen. My favorite was some sort of wine/vodka/juice/strawberry concoction that was dispensed out of large counter-top water containers. Of course the band. Shelves above the band that held probably 50 empty wine bottles, two of which fell on the drummer (poor lad). Haha, tarps covering the carpet. Yes, they were prepared. We left when the cops showed up. It was interesting and somewhat nostalgic. But, damn, I don't remember dressing like that or wearing that much makeup and hair product. Maybe I did. Probably when I was about 19, which I'm guessing was a pretty common age.
Saw another cover band (terrible), ate out (terrible and good), went thrifting (lovely) and finished the weekend off with lots and lots of sleep. I had wanted to go to the gym and try out a treadmill (I am somewhat apprehensive about this apparatus, but I was going to attempt it even though I foresee myself falling on my ass), but I spent too much time at work and then it was too late. Tomorrow. Perhaps I will conquer the treadmill tomorrow. This winter has just been way too long and the rain and cold and darkness are not conducive to outdoor fitness. My legs are antsy, and weak. They need to run.
That is my update. Pretty damn journal-esque.
Much
to you.
