After close to fifteen years, the dentist informed me last week that it was time for me to take my Medusa out. It was wearing visible grooves into my front teeth. I knw that there are other jewelry options out there, but the fact is that it was the jewelry that had meaning to me. Replacing it just doesn't cut it for me. I put it off for a few days as I found myself really saddened, feeling like I was losing a part of my face that I expected to be there forever. But Sunday I pulled out a multitool and did the deed (it hadn't been out-at all, for any reason) in many years.
