Hi, SGLand!
It's been a while since I've write. Today I decided to tell you a little about something that completely changed my life: being diagnosed with autism at the age of 27.
Those who have been following me for a while must have seen a post I made about my mental health. I always talk openly about this because I think it's very important to share moments, as a model, because most people don't know what's going on in our lives. I've always felt out of place, I've always felt different.
In 2023, I finally got a referral for a neuropsychological test, first to understand the type of medication I should take, and to seek a diagnosis. I was very, very surprised when I received the result: Autistic, level 1 support, and I also suffer from acute anxiety as a comorbidity of autism.
I was 27 years old, and I wondered how no one had noticed this before. The neuropsychologist said that my characteristics were latent, even a little obvious. But I think life has its surprises.
Today I'm 28, I'll be 29 in 2025. I have much more support than before, now I understand my rights. Here in Brazil, autism is considered a disability under the law, and that's why I have access to therapies, medicine, priority queue...
I finally feel like myself, and I finally feel free to create again. That's why I came back here, after a long hiatus.
I'll soon have a new set made by @babu . I'm happy to be back, and I'm happy to be free. Thank you all for being patient 💗
