OK, so i assume everyone has been following this gay marriage banning amendment they are trying to pass. I can't believe that people are actually trying to amend our constitution to deny people their civil rights.
I wrote a letter to the letter of San Fran telling him I support his principled stand. I just can't believe how homophobic people can be!
The worst part is that they try to hide it behind the 'defense of marriage' defense. They say marriage is an institution to protect children. Well, then instead of banning gay marriages, they should ban divorce.
Near 70% of marriages now end in divorce. How many marriages end because gay people are getting married? ZERO!!!!
It's a fucking straw argument. Gays getting married in no way affects other people's marriages. The super high divorce rate is what fucks with families and kids.
Instead of talking about ways to teach people about emotional intelligence, which would keep marriages together, they want to ban gay marriages. What a fucking lie.
Everyone better vote in November, for whoever else is on that ticket besides Bush...

And I am strongly for the "Anyone but Bush in 2004" campaign. I'm constantly spreading the word.
At least John Ashcroft is in the hospital. I guess he can't take away any more of our rights from there! Do you know that libraries and bookstores have to report who buys or borrows certain books?
