relationship (plural relationships)

1. Connection or association; the condition of being related.
2. Kinship; being related by blood or marriage.
3. A romantic or sexual involvement.
4. (music) The level or degree of affinity between keys, chords and tones.



At what point does a relationship move from definition one to definition three?

What I can't understand is when it moves from definition 3 to definition 4 people bail out of it...
When its all as flowy as music... that's the frickin' good part!!!!!

A co-worker of mine said something to me once about relationships, and I have never forgotten it. He said to me that he didn't like the term "relationship" because he didn't want to "relate" to his woman. He said that he would just rather say he was in love, because that's what happens when two people bond.
