but I got up and someone, being a total ass, sent a message about a Depeche Mode concert package I was bidding on. (I was bidding on it long before the reserve was met (i.e. before it hit the $1500 mark). I know enough about eBay and enough about the guy who takes care of DM's webstuff to know that this e-mail was bogus. the e-mail:

Depeche Mode European Concert Package-Jul 17-Aug 3 only and eBay told me that I could sell you my item that I had for sale. Unfortunately, I could not complete the sale, because the highest bidder from my auction changed his mind and doesn't want to buy my item anymore. According to the e-mail I received from eBay, you are one of the bidders for this auction and i am sure we can make a good deal with me trough ebay.
I will wait your reply with your best offer.

so I went on the depeche mode message boards to find BRAT's contact info, and I so got suckered in because...
and someone has a free ticket for Leipzip.... and so I put in dibs. I can figure out how to get to Germany and stay there in two weeks for very cheap without losing my very new job, right?
