most of the time, crushes make me happy. I get strange platonic crushes,wanting to spend alot of time talking with someone, getting to know someone, without romantic intent. I like those crushes. I can't think of many instances where I have had a romantic crush. I think, my first boyfriend, (the nyc boy) was my first real crush. That type of crush sucks hard. in my experience most people who say they want an 'open' relationship are just looking to legitimize getting some on the side. it's hard enough keeping things balanced and happy with one other person. we pretend to be civilized and emotionally mature, but everyone seems to instead be at least a little bit paranoid and childishly jealous, myself included.

edited to say:memory recovery??? i talk about that with my guy constantly. when i was a teenager i was a heavy heavy drinker and i wish all the time that there was someway that i could be hypnotized to reclaim all the lost memories. we were best friends back then and he remembers us doing way many more things that we did and shared than i do and i would love to get it all back. i would even accept the risk that i would also get all those evil and horrific memories back that i've suppressed since i was about 12. but i think it would be worth it even if it was painful at 1st just to be able to remember. ya know?

i am glad to be back though it is singularly surreal to be living at the man's parents' house. we must practice ninja-like invisibility, as it freaks them out to see our dirty dishes etc. luckily they have a massive basement which we shall convert into our foxhole of ultra-quiet love.
