did you ever read the art of loving by eric fromm? that's a great book about love and people's (mis)conceptions about what it is.

contentment is easy...the easiest...a cat on my lap...a sunbeam on a plant...i imagine the tao not as a disc, but a sphere and in the center is me and this is the seat of contentment -tho here sadness and happiness brush against me, it doesn't throw me off.
