I headed to Sweden to meet up with my good friend and his wife. He is from Sweden and his father has a old farmhouse. I was recruited for labor of love. We cleared 10 years of garden growth, trimmed trees ect. I also was able to walk around Copenhagen, Malmo, Lund and took a drive along the southern coast. Seemes like the perfect place to settle down at. Its a 20min drive to Malmo or Lund and 35min to Copenhagen via train. City planning is done right and people dont idle their cars...the list is exhausting. I see myself there in 5 years or so.

- Still not feeling great. Same old shit. Moving on...

- Are you watching Meadowlands? Because you really should be.

- I'm currently working on "Katie's Underground Railroad"... an escape plan for my little sister to get away from her controlling, dipshit boyfriend and out of Arizona for good.

- There's this place down the street from my house that has the best carrot...

I spent highschool trying to figure out how to deal with being not straight in a conservation community. I still cringe a little bit thinking about my dating history.

my cousin is just being sweet.

ooooooh, i would LOVE a hat, especially since my hair will probably be v. crazy by then. also, i'm a bit afraid of the chicago weather. however, potentially mortal weather is worth the risk as an exchange for all of the other schtuffs. i've been several times, but never stayed longer than a week. i spent a week in evanston as well because i was doing an institute at northwestern. that was really fun. i LOVE chicago, but i wouldn't mind living in evanston, especially if i am working on that campus. the proximity is enough, yet there are still walkable sidewalks, more affordable places to live, etc. maybe i am wrong, though - you tell me! do you visit chicago often? i'd definitely come dancing! i've never really done nightlife in chicago. i'm pretty much over the moon about moving to be sure. so you are a native chicagoan then? how did you end up in ky? (wow - that is kind of a gross abbreviation now that i think about it like a 14yo). also, that is alot of questions. you certainly do not have to answer them all.

health is a changeling. luckily, there is tea ~ and crafty goodness. nuff said. zen on.

as for the books thing - aaaaaah, rare books ~ what a treat!! i have an old copy of alice in wonderland that i adore, but otherwise nothing in that realm. i can certainly appreciate the pragmatics of ridding yourself of them, but also the pain. still and all, someone is loving them, so yay for that. that collection you mix with your books sounds very intriguing! collecting is kind of a groovy pasttime. once i have a real income i plan to add some bones to the mix, but as yet i have none. i anticipate more spider bodies in various forms of freezation as well. ooooh, and flower photos. *imagines*

I had a nice long walk today. Didn't walk anywhere specific, didn't even bring my camera, just put on my headphones and walked. It was a gorgeous day and it felt really good. I want a shirt that says "keep on truckin'".

Ahhh... nothing like inhaling paint fumes all day. *cough cough* Having paint dust in your eyelashes is a strange sensation. I wish I had something cool to show for it, but because it rained all day, today's shoot was put off in favor of getting crap done around the house, including painting the radiators. Tomorrow, if it rains... I spackle! I have several projects for...

Are you asking if I'm having my period? Because I'm not.

Nope, not girl things. I wish it were girl things, but it's not.

(Answer: Kim Stewart has 12 toes.)

I just got my largest Etsy sale to date! I'm beyond fucking stoked. It will go into my Chicago-trip fund. The Universe is bringing 'round some interesting shit these days.

Since I missed your journals these are the responses I would have given you if I had left a comment on them.

July 14th

What is wrong, why do you think your head might explode, what decision are you trying to make?

July 15th

What do you mean out of the frying pan?

Later on July 15th

I can't see the photo. frown

Even later on July 15th

Wow 12 toes, does she really?

that is great, what did they buy?
