I'm still trying to get used to this new format, so please forgive me...
I'm feeling a bit better. No actually, I feel a lot better. My physical state is still the same, but as we all know, the physical isn't everything. The inflammation in my shoulder is still bad enough that its really limiting my mobility, and that sucks, but I think I'll live. It looks like we won't have a repeat of Thanksgiving, but if I don't start seeing an improvement by Monday, I might have to go in for a pick line again. Anything to keep me from having to eat that damn hospital food. Talk about cruel and unusual!
Some horrible drama in friend land. I'm not going to get too into here, but a friend has landed himself in jail for domestic abuse. Under normal circumstances, I'd be angry and horrified, but I think I'm still in shock. I've known said friend for almost 20 years, we lived together at one point, and he is a lot of things, but I have never known him to be violent. I'm not saying that I think he didn't do it... I know for a fact that he did, but its so out of character for everything that he is. Its like he had some sort of small stroke or something. He has some fairly serious health problems too, and maybe a bad reaction to medication? Who knows? I feel horrible about it though. Of all the calls I would expect to get about him, this isn't the one I'd expect.
I talked to my Grandma today. I love talking to Grammy, even thought it usually takes up a good portion of my day.
She's reading The Secret right now, how cool is that? We had a long conversation today about race since she recently had a visit from her older (and very old school racist) brother. She wants to get one of those DNA tests that checks your DNA for ethnic markers... with the hopes we have some African in our bloodline so she can make a point. She's such a neat lady. She's going to be 78 next year and she's looking into yoga classes. Go Grammy!
Via e positive designs, we started a new project. We're pretty excited about it! Its just the kind of eccentric, indie stuff that will grab attention. We're working on another option too, if you don't have stickers, where we'll custom paint something just for you.
I'm also starting to think about shooting another set. I haven't really thought about it in a while and I wasn't even sure if I was interested in shooting another one, but lately I've had a lot of ideas circling 'round my brain. I've lost so much weight though, I got some droopy drawers... who wants to buy me new underwear?
