Okay, so..that was...weird.
See, I got a Border's gift card for my birthday, used it a couple days ago.
So, I decide first thing I'm going to grab is one of 'em pricey Kurosawa movies I haven't seen. I chose Ikiru...haven't watched it yet, but can't wait to.
No, what was weird was the other movie I got which I just watched. I turn around, and facing me is a movie I saw on the shelf at Best Buy before but decided not to pick up then. But this time, it was mostly someone else's money..so I figured "what the hell" and grabbed..."Shaolin vs. Evil Dead" ...'cause hey, Gordon Liu's in it..and kung fu and zombies..how could you go wrong?
(speaking of which, Kagan McLeod's INFINITE KUNG FU is awesome and you should chekc out the site and order the comics)
Back to the movie. I was expecting glorious violence and brain chomping. But, not so much of either. The movie was pretty, nice special effects. The fights looked neat, but didn't have much impact to me. And the plot..umm...I think there was one...it was pretty thin. However, I couldn't stop watching the thing 'cause it was funny, mostly (intentionally and unintentionally)...and really, it was all worth it for what I can only describe as the "undead ass baby" ...and that's all I'm going to say about that...
And here I thought "transexual communist pirates" was an interesting phrase..
Anyway, truly, if you can find this movie to rent, it's just a great train wreck of awesome...and, dammit...UNDEAD ASS BABY!
One more time, 'cause it rocks!
And I remember wanting to say something about summer classes starting today..but...yeah...undead ass baby (this meaning that someone pooped it out...you "heard" me)
