Y'know, research for any sort of comic involving transgender communist pirates...well the communist and pirate websites wouldn't be so bad.
Buut...I'm not sure I want to see what google comes up with if I go looking for stuff about sex change operations...I remember barely being able to take the surgery footage on Emergency Vets...
Random movie review time, just 'cause...
Decided to rent Blade Trinity..never saw it in the theater, watched the extended cut on the DVD.
Out of the three, the second one's still my favorite.
In the first one..well, c'mon..vampires can walk around during the day if they just wear enough sun screen? Don't care how scientific you get, that shit doesn't block ALL the UV radiation that kills the Blade vamps.
Anyway, the third movie:
The vampires in this movie are just fucking wimpy. It's like the good guys are just bullies. Sure, the first vampire is menacing and strong and "Hulks out" and all, but he could've been used more.
Parker Posey was an interesting choice, she did a good job, but I'm just surprised Blade didn't take her and her followers out years ago..
The good guys are kind of poorly developed too, just didn't feel the tragedy when most of them were killed except for the main three.
Have to say, of course, that Jessica Biel's ripped and looking pretty good in the movie. But, if we're going to compare bad ass women in vampire movies, well, definitely still prefer Kate Beckinsale in Underworld (dammit, she's HOT in that movie)
Ah..there it is..this movie was slick, cool looking, fun to watch, had some funny moments. But, I just didn't get into it emotionally.
Plus, when did King lose his guns toward the end before fighting Triple H?
And, the more action movies I watch, the more the climaxes seem like the main character's going through a video game.
Oh, here's the cannon fodder, the guys you beat up during the stage...Then there's the mid boss, then maybe you beat up a few more guys, then you get to the big boss.
Maybe I just use to play too much Double Dragon and Final Fight back in the day...
Though, the movie wasn't all bad..
Anyway, think I'm done geekin' out for now...
Looking forward to Batman Begins and am going to avoid Fantastic Four like it's Catwoman (which I didn't see, either).

Heyyy..thanks for commenting on my page. I am always struggling for words when I try to describe my zine to someone. If you google "indigo zine michelle aiello" you can find reviews. It's really quite self-indulgent, but then again, that's kinda the point of having a zine or blog, isn't it? Anyway, don't be a stranger.
