People too often associate love and hate with good and evil. What people fail to realize is that love and hate has nothing at all to do with good and evil. Acts of evil have been committed many times in the name of love. A woman who kills her child because she knows her husband didnt want a child. The slaughter of the Native Americans in the name of Jesus Christ is another example of evil done out of love.
Acts of good have also been commited in the name of hate. A man whose hatred for his racist parents or background drives him to become an equal rights representative. The movie Punisher, where as the main character stops a mob boss out of revenge. Good by hatred of the enemy, good in the name of revenge, all acts of good that stem from hateful thoughts. Since both love and hate can be direct causes of both good and evil, it is impossible to associate one with the other. Love and hate are both neutral emotions, and they are both naturally occurring and necessary
