There was some sort of fire two houses over last night. Firetrucks crowded the street. I don't believe it was anything too serious because they didn't seem to be in any hurry. The only fauna they dragged out of the house was that of a very tiny kitten. The flora was later taken out by the police in the form of a very large ziplock bag full of pot. So, uncertain of whether the kitten's owners would be "away" for a while, we took it in. A few names were suggested (the most fitting of which, I thought was "smokey"...for, uh, several reasons), but I thought better than to let any of them stick.
Later in the night, a knock at the door came to retrieve said kitten. And thus ends the adventure of me having anything close to a child ever. The end.
Oh, yeah. and it's the darn cutest kitten ever.
We may just have to steal it back.
