Happy New Year's.
I don't do resolutions. I don't do regrets. In a way, not doing one makes it much easier to not do the other.
The party we threw for New Year's was a blast. Unfortunately not as many people showed as I thought. Claire and I spent way too much time, money and effort making this some sort of nice adult party in a home. Really, appetizers and wine and all that. Oh, and hanging pictures to make it look like a home. Unfortunately, we're still too poor to have much furniture so the homey quality was lost to many metal folding chairs. I've vowed that our next party will involve nothing more sophisticated than beer and nachos. And we have to have it soon, the refrigerator is so full of beer that our guests didn't drink that there is little room for food.
