wait, there's a suicide girl of the week in playboy?
It's probably not so much my business but I think that's very interesting...and by 'interesting' I mean 'terribly not at all neat and actually kind of crappy'.
Yeah, I know I pay a membership fee and all but sometimes it really hits me hard how much this site is this money making machine. Yeah, and way to sell sex of all things. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that except that I see it highlighted as sex instead of sexy, if that makes sense...sort of like, check out these pictures of naked girls instead of check out these photos that have artistic purpose. And yes, suicide girls has nice pictures of naked girls but I think the unique aspect of the nudity that suicide girls shows is how unconventional beauty is easily more attractive than the barbie doll figure and...IQ. The thing that suicide girls has that playboy lacks (but strives for) is that authentic real person feel and feeling. And I say 'feeling' because almost any randomly chosen photoset on this site captures a person with a story to them, with a life. This woman got that tattoo on this date for that reason and so on. All of that is contained within the photos alone, nevermind the journal portion of the site. These are real people who live and eat, stub their toes and might not even give you the time of day, not because they're better but possibly because they're worrying about their job or are humming a tune to themselves. And that is by far more alluring than 'Shelly', the girl next door with a 34dd bust who likes sports cars, baking and long walks on the beach.
I don't know. I think I just wish this site could speak for itself instead of having playboy having its say.
I'm sure it's exciting for some people and that's fine. And maybe I just misunderstood the whole thing but I'm not too thrilled at all by it right now. Maybe I'll try to learn more before I further rant. gaah.
