I'm seriously beginning to believe that people that live most of their lives "online" have no clue what real life is anymore.
If you can't, at any moment, turn off the computer and walk away, then you have a big problem.
Real life should always come first and so should the people that you personally know in the flesh and blood.
The "cyber world" is based on half-truths and lies and in the end causes more loneliness and heartache than real life ever could.
I've made lots of online friends through the years and I value those relationships but I can honestly say that only about 2% of the people I know online do I have any real life experiences with and maybe only 5% more of the rest would I even want to.
Nearly everything that any one does online is nothing more than a fantasy online game that could all simply disappear by pulling a plug. Whether you are playing WoW or chatting with someone you wouldn't know if you bumped into them on the street, it's not real and it's taking you away from what life could really be.
I think it's sad that most people really do prefer to live in the Matrix.
