for one of the better books I know on grace, you might want to look at Volume 12 of The Notebooks of Paul Brunton-- the last chapter. very non-denominational, and rather accurate, imo.
don't think Ginsberg was a pedophile in the legal sense of the term ... he was an odd bird, for sure - some of his early stuff was astonishing, then it got muddled and lame and diluted by his savoring publicity, and then he came out the other side with some things of substance. as I said, Patti Smith has a cd of music using a lot of lyrics lifted from his poems. if you can get hold of an early - very early - reading of HOWL, it's worth listening to... let me know what you think!
