its a beautiful day. i have two really great assignments... one is to create a graphic novel using photographs and little to no text, the other is to story-board title credits for any movie i choose. it should be a movie i havent seen, which makes it a little harder. i would like to find a kinda' teenage love story that takes place in a small town. something indie and maybe canadian. i've checked imdb.com but if any of you have suggestions... biggrin

I've been working on a collection of short stories, have submitted it to some publishing houses here in Oslo... guess it's a little bit related to you working on your graphic novel..? I've always wanted to write a novel by the way, but I find it so hard, like Thomas Mann once said; "...an author is a person who finds writing more difficult than other/common people..." I don't know... there's something in that I believe.
Good luck with your work anyway! smile kiss

Oooh! Somthing I know and love. No, no I'm no comic geek, but I do dig 'em. I also am a photographer. Man, if you wanna see some cool artwork and writing (AND Canadian! Hey, I may be a yank, but I know what's up) you should check out a cat named Seth. My favorite book of his is "It's a Good Life If You Don't Weaken". It was put out by D&Q, and I'm sure it's easy to find. Other cool writers are the Scottish Eddie Campbell, the American Craig Thompson (try "Blankets") and anything by Harvey Pekar (now made famous by the movie named after his comics "American Splendor"). Teenage lovestory movie that takes place in a small town? Hmm... he he! Try the Johnny Depp and John Waters film "Crybaby". One of my favorites. It's sort of a comedy and musical though, if you haven't seen it. I watch a lotta movies too, cause I used to work in a video store and an indie theatre. Good luck!
