When loved ones are suffering
How long do we watch the steady decaying
before pulling the plug

I guess what I'm saying is when someone you genuinely care for is destroying themselves
mind, body and soul
How long can you stay by there side
Allowing all there negativity affect you
Is it ok....Is it right
To cut people off
To cut them out of our lives

Wow, tough one. I think that sometimes it is okay. I stayed in a relationship that made me unhappy for a good year and a half, but when I finally "pulled the plug" on it my life got a lot better really quick.

We like to fight for the people close to us, but there's only so much you can do, and there are some people who will drag everyone under with them on their way down. I think that's one of the toughest, most heartbreaking aspects of life.
