Design work is going well. My ongoing fight with my current employer and his extremely misguided sense of aesthetics is still the same, but it seems like my frustrations are being let out in other projects. I've never had so many ideas! So that's a good thing. I"m focusing on getting some new clients now, so anyone need some graphic design done? heeee =)
Honestly though, it seems like all the design jobs I've gotten have been through word of mouth, so I figure i'll live on that as long as I can. The design business is rough around here lately, agencies just aren't hiring. Ah, well.

What a looooong weekend I had. So long, it's thursday and I still feel like I'm living it.
Bah, I don't even want to talk about it. You don't even want to hear about it.

I hate people who use the death of a friend to garner sympathy from people. I have a friend who passsed away from a heroin overdose about six months ago. Well, another friend of mine will NOT let it go, among other things. She brings it up constantly. For example, last night she was talking about how hard the holidays are since her dad "broke up" with her (dude was a deadbeat, never had any contact with the kids anyway), and that nick died she's so senstive that she's going to have a nervous breakdown, and she should be excused from work, and everyone should feel sorry for her and anyone who doesn't is an ass.
I think that's ridiculous and disrespectful. You don't use a friend's passing to get sympathy, to make people feel sorry for you. I can see going to a friend for comfort, but she tells random people! And the worst part is the way she says it! No, we shouldn't feel sorry for the one that died, we shouldn't feel sorry for the PARENTS -- they have other kids! We should feel sorry for HER!!!
okay calm down. it just disgusts me. deep breath.
how YOU doin?
