My car broke down...sniffle. I think it's the starter.

So you are plugging along, working 50+ hours a week, getting bills paid off, getting ahead and BAM...the cat gets a $126 bladder infection, the car breaks down, and um....my feet hurt.

good news though, my temp job, which was only supposed to last until May 1, went to "we want you part time for the summer until August" to "we want you full time til december". that's awesome. Really, I wish they would just hire me outright, since i really like the job, it's designing and implementing online courses for the tech school. Right now, I'm just doing piddly stuff, but hey, I enjoy it, and they are giving me more and more responsibilities. maybe they'll find they just can't live without me.

So there's a $100 prize to the best final essay in African American lit class. i'm definitely trying for that, my midterm essay she said was "almost brilliant". ALMOST?! well dammit...pretty good considering it was a procrastinator's dream work. but still....$100 goes a long way in my world.

I'm going to denver at the end of may to visit denver boy. that should be fun, haven't seen him since christmas. he's got a girlfriend now which i KNEW was coming, but it's still a little bit hard. more nostalgicly hard though, if that's a word.
