I'm writing from my new shoebox apartment in the lovely Kresge (UCSC) dorms, my humble abode from now until September 10th, when I will be leaving Santa Cruz 
the move went well enough, though it was incredibly hectic and tiring. I packed my dad's van so full of unneeded stuff that he couldn't take my cousin, who's visiting from England, back with him. So he crashed on my floor for three days and four nights, and explored Santa Cruz (he's coming to UCSC in the fall) with and without me as a tour guide. That was fun, though I think his downloading binge messed up my computer severely (basically, my browser and even Windows doesn't work for me anymore).
Tonight, I'm hitting the bars with my former housemate, now friend, and trying not to get too drunk to make it to work tomorrow. As for that, I'm back to hating my job. with a passion.
