well did the first day of orientation at work today. Doesn't seem like it's going to be a hard job really, i mean how hard can serving and bartending be...done it before. I only have to deal with drunk rednecks on the occasion, not angry german people, or people talking to me in Japanese or thai....just because I worked at a bar in Thailand doesn't mean I can speak every language that the customers use. Though my Thai did get pretty damn good after my 18 months over there. I actually miss the atomsphere quite a bit and the place i'm working at T.J chumps in Miamisburg is pretty relaxed with a similar atmosphere so it's not going to be difficult. The only annoying thing is that we have to memorize the menu word for word, never understood that, I mean what is the reasoning, in case a customer asks what's in their chosen food...oh I don't look at the menu..but whatever it's all about service and getting a big tip at the end of the night. I'm just serving right now but according to the GM if i do well with that then they will move me over to the Bar...which is were the money is really...the place makes a killing at the bar, the bartender gets to keep a small % of the profits from the bar so that's a bonus.
Not sure how long this will last though, i'm definately going to stick out through the spring, summer and fall though because that is when you make the most money...we'll see.
Other then that I go with my baby's momma on Monday to find out the sex of our baby, so that is exciting. People keep asking me if i prefer a boy or a girl, and honestly I don't care either one would make me happy. Everyone seems to think it's a girl so we shall see. I've been looking into some more police departmesnt around the area as well, also indy and Columbus, not sure which direction i'm leaning towards at the moemnt..i know columbus doesn't have the Civil Service Exam until september 8th so i'm going to be here in Dayton awhile it looks like...so i'll just save up money and junk....get a new car perhaps.....
