I've got a long weekend coming up! that's exciting, although tomorrow I'm shooting an event for the MS Society, so it's less of a day off really. Oh well, it should be fun anyways!
Yesterday I had to close the restaurant, which i've never done on a Friday night. I think I handled it well. The regular cook got deep-fryer oil in his eye, so he had to go to the ER to get it checked out. He's OK now though. That's almost happened to me in the past, but I wear glasses, so I have a small amount of protection.
for closing friday I got $50.00 in tips! That's the most I've ever gotten. Ever. On a really busy night I MIGHT get $30. Crazy.
I'm going to use my extra money to take Colette79 out to dinner on our anniversary!
Tonight the restaurant wasn't that busy, so i left early, had a couple pints before I left, and now I'm just happy our apt. isn't 40 degrees but a more pleasant 20!

Holy crap I can hardly wait to go to England!!!! I miss my british friends, I haven't seen them in 4 years.

On a slightly sadder note, I found out today that my best friend's Dad (and my godfather, if you will) is most probably in his last few weeks of life. If he passes away i'd like to go to the funeral at least, but it'll be out in the Comox Valley, and that's a long way away for me.

What sort of stations do you work? What sort of food do you cook? Oh, I'm so excited to know someone else (beyond the people I work with) that is in the industry.
I haven't had more than a few minutes to sample the "Seven Swans" album, but I'll let you know what I think tomorrow.
