1 week left to go and tomorrow my final clients start arriving to walk. I've got a briefing tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. Then just bag moves until the 4th when I'm done, one free day and then a 7 hour drive to Poggibonsi, or somewhere near there so I can drop the car at Pieve Della Castello and fly home from Pisa.

It seems like I've been here forever and no time at all. In reality it's been 2 months but when I look back at everything that's happened it seems like more. But when I think about the time, it seems like nothing!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Anyhow, since it started getting warmer here I've been waging all out war with the mosquitos. Each morning little dead mosquito bodies litter my floor and I have a crazy sleep deprived gleam in my eye. Usually they wouldn't bother me because usually I don't react to the bites but these buggers are so itchy! and they only bite my feet or my face. Face I can understand, it sticks out of the covers...but feet!? how, please tell me how. (on a side note, just got another one!)

The other night though, the other night there was a real sneaky mosquito. My landlady has really bad taste in decor and has nailed a giant fan above my bed, like a hand fan..but about 2 metres wide. And it has a horrible garish tropical scene on it. If that isn't bad enough she can't nail very well so all the nails stick out about a centimetre. So this sneaky mosquito landed on the wall next to the fan and me, thinking I would just quickly hit the wall and get rid of it did so without thinking. Nail in hand, mosquito flying away, probably laughing. Ok so the actual wound isn't so large but it tore quite a bit of flesh out and bled nicely. I was not a happy bunny that night.

My war wounds from mosquito fighting (It looked worse 2 days ago when I did it)

Evidence of mosquito defeat!

And these have faded quite a bit but this is what you get when you try and climb over crash barriers on a busy road

So as you can see I'm doing well here...

Some more pictures of life in Italy

I like to wonder where it's rider went to and never came back, whether they just swum out to sea

I love this, it looks so unreal
