nihly

tomorrow is my birthday. i turn 23. not exactly a milestone or anything. well, maybe in my personal life and not measured by age because this is the year where i am really starting out fresh, starting over again.

when i got back from the cottage yesterday night, after i posted, i got really bummed and had thoughts i haven't had in a very long time. i tried calling some people but couldn't get a hold of anyone. but i know it just passes.

i am doing so much better than this time last year, and even more so the year before that. so much better i forgot things that happened or what i felt like, but it's probably better not to remember those things anyways. it isn't constructive to constantly obsess over the past. it's gone.

Now, Nihly is back at school and i must say that i am way better at just apporaching people and talking to them. it's hard since i'm joining in in the second half of the year and everyone knows each other now and have bonded. but then in a way it's easier because get to know one person, and you are introduced to a whole group.

school is easier since it's the second time around, i have passed some courses, and i have done some of the work in the others so i can re-hand things in hehehe. i'm considering perhaps applying for some part time work at chapters, our big bookstore chain here. it's a nice place to work for students, i have heard. but i have to see how the courseload is working out first.

it's been awhile since i have been in a normal routine, a normal day, if you will. so adjustment is in order. and i guess i'll get bummed from time to time because i miss things from before, but that is life and i feel like i'm a part of it again. finally.
