Re: pho -- to be honest, while I'm glad I tried it the one time, it's not something that I would go out and buy again. It's basically ramen in dishwater-colored beef broth and, usually, a few sprigs of mint and parsley. For cheap college food, it's not bad, but I'd rather spend my money on something I could cook myself.
