I first became aware of Dave Navarro's penchant for cute things bearing the likeness of Sanrio's Hello Kitty character while doing the SuicideGirls Radio show. We broadcast each Sunday out of Indie1031.com's studios, which at the time also served as home for the wild living and hard rockin' Jane's Addiction and Camp Freddy guitarist's Wednesday night Dark Matter show (which has since moved to Moheak.com's...

Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky's bloody epic Santa Sangre, which was inspired by the story of Mexican serial killer Gregorio "Goyo" Crdenas Hernndez, has been praised as "a throwback to the golden age, to the days when filmmakers had bold individual visions," and derided as "a massive clearance sale of leftover psychedelia." It's story and imagery has been dismissed as "a series of banal Freudianisms involving...

So just before the holidays my legs decided to randomly crap out on me in a really painful way. After a week in hospital it was decided my partial paralysis was due to a herniated disc, and as soon as my very expensive health insurance decided to retroactively not pay, they sent me on my merry way - with some groovy painkillers in hand.

Aww! I hate dealing with insurance companies for that Same reason! Never know just how reliable they are. I don't even have any coverage at the moment.

Exit Through the Gift Shop is a film that defies explanation, and ones ability to suspend disbelief. Indeed the plot would be utterly ridiculous, if it werent for the fact that its true.
It started out life as a simple documentary about street art as seen through the lens of Thierry Guetta, a French national living in Los Angeles. Thanks to a family connection, and...

Can't wait to see the BBC's new TV series based on Douglas Adam's Dirk Gently novels.
Actually preferred Adam's stories about the holistic detective, who believes in the fundamental interconnectedness of all things, to the author's better known Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy books, and am excited that these lesser known works will finally be exposed to a wider audience.

I've never heard of the books but I'll have to look for the show. I have recently become a big fan of the BBC. Everything I have seen from them has been so good.
It was very possible to lose one's mind...playing Catherine, says Mena Suvari, referring to her role in the film Hemingway's Garden of Eden, which opens in select US theaters today. Indeed the character at the heart of the Ernest Hemingway book, upon which the movie is based, is considered to be one of the writers most complex.

I'm old fashioned and modern at the same time, Rachel Federoff tells me at one point during our phone interview. As a key player in the hit Bravo TV show Millionaire Matchmaker - which is now in its fourth and most successful season to date Federoff must reconcile her intrinsically alternative self with the always outspoken and often very traditional beliefs of her mentor Patti...

Interviews are not exactly something The Cult's Billy Duffy enjoys doing. This is something the iconic guitarist reiterates several times in different ways during the course of our 40-minute conversation. However, after remaining mostly silent during his band's recent Love Live Tour - celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Love album which carried the seminal single "She Sells Sanctuary" - Duffy is biting the proverbial...

It's 4 o' clock in the afternoon, and I'm in the dancers' dressing room at Crazy Girls, a strip club on the corner of La Brea and Sunset in Hollywood, waiting to meet Craig Mabbitt and Max Green from the post-hardcore band Escape The Fate. Their third album has just been released the previous day, and the boys are scheduled to perform a special mini-set...
