My brother deployed for Afghanistan about a month ago. I hadn't heard from him at all, except for one random facebook wall post, since the day he left. He's called and talked to momma, and his ladyfriend, but it had been yet to be my turn. My brother is my best friend, literally.
Today, sitting at my laptop doing who knows what; paying bills, I think... the phone rang. It was him. Easily made my week. month... it made my month, scratch that week shit. Hearing his voice gave me an instant, whole being sense of relief... amazing.
Life is GOOD
