As I experience more in my life, Im continually amazed at how people treat each other, good and bad. We can all relate to both, on both sides of it. And I admit, sometimes I was given grace by others that was not deserved but it is always valued. Because of that undeserved grace I feel the need to pass that on to others but I know I cant do that with everyone, I need some type of boundaries, right? I really dont want to be a doormat. I guess that everyone is different and every situation is different but I think honesty needs to be a factor in any grace that is given.

I have been thinking about all of this for the last week because within the 13 months I have been in Lawton, so-called friends have cast me away. Both situations are similar and have kind of created a bias against a group of people and an activity (Roller derby). I am left with a strong belief that, if you get that many girls together, there is no way to stop the drama or the in fighting. Never-mind I will be much more careful before I open up with anybody, no matter what the situation. Which makes this weird, I am posting this on SG and I dont think I have met anybody in person from the site but feel comfortable enough to open up like this. Trust is created in many ways in the age of the web.

All this makes me thankful for all of my family, the truth is, most of which are not even related to me. They are the friends that have been there through thick and thin, from a few years to over 20 years. These are the individuals that help define my life and the ones I want to share everything with. I guess true friends are very hard to find and the ones that you have need to be cherished forever.
