Well, last night I saw Social D. for the 15th time and this was by far, the worst performance I had ever seen them give. Let me re phrase that....their stage show was alright but the venue sucked ass and it ruined the whole experience for me. The acoustics inside the place were TERRIBLE, it sounded like Mike was speaking out of a mic inside a garbage bag most of the night and the guitars sounded all muffled. I was really let down. Their set was only an hour and 15 mins. too. I guess thats what you get what you see a band in a small ass town like where I live now.
Their set actually let me down a tiny bit too. They didn't play too many of the old school punk standards that put them on the map, they stuck to a lot of the rock n roll, greaser type shit that they play nine nights out of ten. I was hoping for otherwise. I will say, the version of Prison Bound they played was friggin kick ass though.
At least they didnt encore with Ball and Chain for the 10 millionth time.
Overall 3 out of 5 stars. It was so so. Ive seen them play MUCH better before.
