but, when did metal lose its edge? Where did the balls go?
back in the day, bands didnt have to try to get "banned", they just did. I mean look at slipknot. I live in des moines where they are from...ppl. here think they are metal and some kind of gods to the music world...um, can you say KISS and Alice Cooper? Been there, done that, next...whatever. Like w/ all their "satanic" crap...like they are tryin to get in trouble..like they have to try to get banned or get media attention....kinda reminds me of the bullshit Manson pulled w/ all his anti-Christian junk back in the late 90s. The fuckin bands I loved and still love didnt have to get "attention" first to get banned....the attention fuckin came to them. People and organizations honestly feared them. THAT was real. Wearin gay ass masks on stage and calling your fan base "maggots" isnt.
Cory Taylor is a little bitch. You think in 20 years ppl. will remember Slipknot? All the while, Dave Mustaine will be in his 60s still writin killer riffs....
