Ahh that fine line between just being you, and not scaring the locals. Thankfully it's an unspoken agreement with the family these days. No, I won't cover my tattoos and wear that shit you got me that's still in the package, but I will smile, make nice, and tone down the sarcasm. I'm happy with that. Only took me thirty years to get there.

My family is the same way! But I am happy and if they dont like well see you on the appropriate holidays because my life wont change or stop just because its not a mirror image of your societally deemed "norm" life style!

You know how many so called straight and narrow "successes" I'm related to? I'll give you a guess how many of them are miserable closeted alcoholics and pill heads. They live in denial and our honesty scares the shit out of them.
