Tomorrow there is this grand opening of a big exhibition at the library - to celebrate the 200 years since the birth of one of our most beloved poets. Since I'm in charge of all exhibitions and lectures held at the library ... this has been a great big deal - my biggest assignment in this area (then of course I also head the music- and movie departments ... along with cataloguing ... and editing the website ... ). I am responsible for the opening "ceremony". I have got 2 young students to play classic guitar songs and then a singer to sing 2-3 songs. The minister of cultural affairs will be there, the major of Akureyri... this is gonna be huge. The designer of this exhibition is a great guy and is responsible for putting the exhibition up ...

Then there is a lecture at the library on Thursday ... then early Friday morning I fly to Reykjavik to attend a conference held to celebrate the 50 yr anniversary of library and information science being taught in Iceland. I was asked to give a 15 minute lecture myself, on how the studies have helped me in my work ... so .. I'm trying to finish that as well ... so it doesn't seem I'm resting much, and next few days are gonna be "crazy"
