So... house got broken into last friday, lost the house monday, can't find a place to move...

Sounds dreary, right? Good. It was.

On the flip side of that, I was promoted, got a raise, and had my boss and the other manager rally to my side when shit hit the fan.

So I need to find a place to live for the time being. I have money, just no clear direction. (Gotta love life)

Though... through that all, I've had a friend on this site (she's the reason I joined, and stay here) that's been a bit of a bright spot for me. Funny how that works.

... sometimes I wonder, though... Is it truly my role in life to serve as one that protects others, even at the cost of his own comfort and (in many cases) health?

I mean really... even when I have nothing, I find a way to help others. I don't do it for recognition, or for points, or reward... Just do it because I know how badly it sucks to have nothing. Ah well...
