It’s been a minute since I’ve done a blog homework so I will start with the fact that I am not the first, nor the best at starting conversations most of the time. I will happily chat with pretty much anyone but I’m usually not the initiator.

However, there are three tactics I use successfully that have gotten me this far in life and that is:

Always smiling at someone, even if you don’t intend on starting a conversation. Sometimes this is the first step or all it takes to break the ice.

I think compliments are also a nice way to engage someone, as long as they are genuine!

Lastly (this one is more of a bonus), anything funny like a joke or a pun, in my opinion, is a great way to start up a conversation.

Can’t wait to see how other people’s responses. Maybe we will all learn new ways of starting conversations.
