You know what's fun about talking to ex's? They always have the best insults for you.
I was having a conversation with one of mine today and she told me that I wasn't egotistical. Thinking that maybe this was going somewhere good, I asked her to continue and she then proceeded to tell me that I was instead narcissistic. Apparently I dont think highly of myself, I'm actually in love with me. As a product of this, I am both fulfilled and lonely at the same time and while I desire relationships with other people, I find that I have no use for them as they inevitably can never stand up to the idea of perfection (ie: me) that I desire in a mate. Sick shit, huh?

This brings me to two conclusions:
A) She's absolutely right
B) I really need to start dating dumber girls

Thing is, though, it beats the holy living hell out of the alternative. There is nothing less attractive than someone who, say, dates people who are opposite of themselves because they dislike themselves so much. And besides, wasn't this the girl who was getting into all sorts of trouble with not taking the chemicals she was supposed to be, and taking too many she wasn't? I don't know that dumber would be wise. Maybe less astute, except that non-observant people make phenomenally shitty "significant other"s.

So I guess you're stuck with that whole looking-for-people-as-cool-as-you thing... wink
