no, unfortunatly it does not fit the XT. The rebel XT uses the Canon BG-E3 grip.

I'm out of photography gigs for the rest of the summer. I just sent an email to a guy who listed on craigslist for freelancers, I hope he emails back. it only pays $50 a night to start, but hell. I'd probably do it for free just to get published right now.
