Back from mexico. that was great. now blyss is in tokyo. not so great. not so bad, but it is remarkable how much you can miss a person in about 26 hours. sometimes it seems silly updating my journal because she and i are so attached at the hip that reading her journal sorta covers mine. well maybe not while the pacifirc seperates us. I...

hey migs...
first off, it always seems like trilo has the inside scoop on things here before i do. so what's this project he's talking about?
well, when my stepbrother got married, my dad gave a little speech about a time he played basketball with him, and that he had a tendency to hold onto the ball too often. he instructed him at that time that it was good to pass the ball. he made a nifty little parallel to a married relationship from that, saying that in that as well, you always had to remember to pass the ball around, and share power.
maybe you already know that, but i'd give the same speech to both of you if i was at the reception or something, 'cause it's good to remember.
so where you are sounds lovely. hope you can carry it back with you as a model, an ideal for your life together.

Bloody Mary's in Mexico? Unless you are making them with tequila, pure sacrilege!

On Saturday Gorgeous Blyss was a little hung over and I had to loadout from the Surrealist Ball which went very well. It seems that perhaps I defered my hangover until this afternoon. So now its Movie Time, action

Outside of dance class: "Why does that man have a ponytail?" That was my daughter; I would have said hi but you were on the phone. How random, eh? I didn't realize that was Blyss until i saw you too; I kept thinking i'd seen her somewhere but i couldn't place her.

Hey, great work on Blyss' latest set Junk. After looking at sets on here for almost a year now, I'm starting to see how your sets differ from most. Very artistic, and they have much greater depth. Instead of each shot being just a slightly different twist on the same thing, each is like a new chapter that could stand on its own if need be. Your sets take more time to sift through because of this, and give the impression that lots of thought and work went into them. Or maybe you're just that much better.

Oh boy. You know as well as I do my bearded friend that only communists love the silent sound of snow falling on water. That was a test...
Almost done with the never ending steel job. I have such senioritis right now. Started making X-mas presents yesterday. I think Heyoka shoud be a screenwriter or somethin'

Senioritis is a great word. Sometimes I have senioritis about life.
Thanks for your comment. As far as your 'challenge' -- the things you read are simply transcriptions of images in my head that come from experiences I've had. So they aren't really 'ideas' per say.
That's the way I have to do it. I'm unsure whether art (or good art at least) can be engineered. For me it has to start with a resident image or feeling, and the craft follows. I've tried to do it the other way around, and the writing simply sounds contrived, awkward, impersonal, and lacks resonance and power. Perhaps you are the same way with the art you create.
So, it's a long-winded way of saying that the more experiences I have with you guys, the more likely it is that I'll be able to think of a fitting photographic theme.

heyoo. yesterday, i realized i haven't said hi to you and blyss. now i find out about sarge.
can i tell you something?
my sis - the one in w. seattle - her cat was run over by a car a few days before bush was voted back into office. talk about a one-two punch.
she has a little plant growing now from the dish they used to feed her from.
i hope you find another little guy soon to fill your lives up. and you've still got kiley.
so i hope your holidays are lovely - both yours and blyss. you two have a lot of love in your little nexus that most people in this world do not. it sounds like you know how to worship that energy, in your own way.

Heysa. I have just hit up Blyss and now I am contacting you, tho it's been a while I know. I'm in town for the weekend, and just now thinking that I should maybe try to hook up with people I know around here to say what's up. If you or Blyss want to hang (i mentioned a possible show at Chop Suey to her.), e-mail me back. Maybe I can help in some small way with your disappointment, btw. I'm a good person! (i think...

thanks man. A snog to Blyss for plugging me. xx
It was nice to have an opeing it has been a while. The pres. of this book publishing company came out for it. That was great. He told Blyss and I about some great photographer that said there are no great photographers only great subjects. That maybe a bit of stretch but it sure is a great feeling to have put up your best show...

Hey Miguel. Nice to finally meet you! I am glad you'd be into letting me use some of your artwork; I think it would be a great addition to the look of the project.
Please write me back via email so I can attach a script for you to check out - I can't do it from this Contact link. I will also attach the one piece of "hero" artwork we already have, but I really need to fill out Dutch's apartment with cool, sexy, high-end artwork - and from what I've seen of yours here it would rock.
Thanks!
Oh: write me at cineman@filmisart.com

i wish i could clone myself so that one of me could nap and drink wine in bed with blyss and the other could do all this other stuff

Can you go ahead and clone Blyss while you are at it?

It would be both, I'm sure. Like everything else in life, a double-edged sword.

When I feel that way I take those things I know and build on that. And learn as much more as I can. Then hopefully I know a good amount so that I dont feel "stooopid". So, did you go to Seattle Art Institute? Im thinking of going next year. There' alot I want to learn and it seems you're doing most of it. It's good to see someone who is actually making a living doing what they love to do. It's sad to think that most people have to sacrifice one for the other.
