With glory and distinction
Rejoicing; knowing - I have a full winter ahead

With this change of the climate
The dance season is again upon us.
Each year brings a new partner
To dance with and hold

Once it was techno
Then Salsa, then Tango
I look forward to a slow
Tennessee Waltz

Or an good ole fashioned
Texas two step
Beautiful and elegant
The Creators second greatest gift

Perhaps it is that
Amplified sounds
Does not agree
As a smooth and soft melody does

I have never seen you
In your full splendor
On the dance floor or stage
I hope you will - save the last dance for me











Train Wreck

I lay awake wondering
Where you are
I have painted this picture
In my mind a hundred times

Once you lay next to me
Only for a few hours
Each night you come back to visit
Even if only for a few seconds

I treasure each of those
Precious few hundred minutes
Knowing you could not stay
Even if you wanted to

Still my thoughts drift to you
Much like a train wreck about to happen
I can not bear, not to watch
The beauty of two locomotives

Recklessly running
Full steam ahead
Knowing they are each
On a crash course

The best way to survive
Is to impact faster
Than the other
Still I am glad to be onboard

Your touch heals my soul
Like that of no other
I can feel the pain leave my body

The softness in you smile
The fluidness in your walk
Watching you fidget
And especially when you wiggle

Perhaps it is osmosis

All eyes are upon you
When you enter a room

That I taste the beauty
In the air
After you exhale
