Boys of summer

I block the noise and chaos out
Surrounded by some loyal fans and a worth opponent
It seems like we always play away games
In my mind I hear "Sympathy for the Devil"

Every pushup and sit-up
Countless miles of running
Lifting thirty tons of weights
A few hundred pounds at a time

My arms are like thunderbolts
My shoulders can bear all that is placed upon them
I am a closer
Perhaps one of the best of my time

It all boils down to concentration
I get my signal
Bring on the heat - this is what I love to do
Focus

Block out everything and do what you do best
Pretend you are in the field with grandpa
Its just the two of us and nature
There is no wind

For a split second the world stops turning
I rub my thumb and index finger together
Then blow on them
I squeeze the trigger- I watch the target become fully acquired
