skull RAVENS AND WRITING DESKS skull

There are jaded souls who have lived through some tragedy or calamity (or a series of miserable misadventures) who take their pain as hard won wisdom, to be able to see through the pretty lie that happy folk believe in that their pain is a set of hip, ultra pensive shades, through which they can see through bullshit.

There are serene...

Its nice to recall little adventures. Its nice to realize youve had a few good ones to be telling an anecdote to the slightly younger cast members, at rehearsal, and ending it with and thats how I got into the Porn Star Ball.

A bigger update on my lazy Thanksgiving week (yeahI had a whole week) coming soon but for now, let me just say

I WON!!!

I made it to the final round of the WHITE WOLF novel contest. Apparently, over a thousand people entered in the original round and, in this round, I made it to the top five. Now I just have to write a...

Write that novel, baby!

Glad you like the poem. I'm not thrilled yet. I like where I'm going with it, but I don't think it is QUITE there yet. There are certain images I want to do more with.

This is totally unrelated to your entry, but I thought you'd get as much amusement out of it as I did. My 11th graders wrote their final paper on the drama unit, and as I corrected one of the papers today, I cracked up. According to this student, If Macbeth hadn't been such a BIATCH, maybe his lady wouldn't call him a wuss (capitals included)

??? ah, the future biggrin

You learn a few dirty phrases, in Japanese, from an exchange student, in your undergrad days and you think to yourself, When is this ever going to be useful to me?

Then, one day, years later, you are sitting next to your little brother, who is sitting next to a cute Japanese exchange student, whom he is trying to impress, when the subject of learning...

ever been to a pirates vs ninjas party? I heard of that one day when someone asked my friend for a lighter. He said "ninjas stole my lighter." we all laughed. he's like "no, really, I was at a ninjas vs. pirates party. Pirates aren't very popular as costumes. we were outnumbered."

I think I nearly lost my dang amaretto sour through my NOSE when he said that.

supernova72:
ninjas definitely outnumber pirates. we need more pirates.

i made the cd today, and used the song titles to write a little paragraph about the horrors of drinking with an ex-rollerskate-referee.

clever am I.

What do you do when you have trouble finding words to fill a spooky epic poem? Why you plunder and corrupt old nursery rhymes of course!!!

There was an old woman who practiced Voodoo.
She had so many spirits, she didnt know what to do.
She gave them rum, without any bread....

skull I THINK I FRACTURED MY AESOP...AND I CAN'T SLEEP skull

Looking at the things I have written, and some of the things I have planned to write, I realize that my epic is made up, in many parts, of all sorts of little how this came to be myths that would give Aesop a boner.

Off the top of my head, I know well learn:

-Why...
