I am taking a History of a Book and Special Collections class. I wanted to take this class because we have field trips to different places built into our class time. Today was the first trip. We went to Bowne & Co., Stationers and the Bowne Printers. While the printers are open, the Stationers located just next door is still closed after Sandy. I was excited and really interested, but then I started to feel funny. I was dizzy, lightheaded and eventually I had to sit down and miss most of the presentations at both places. After we left, I felt totally fine. I am kind of bummed that I missed out on watching the demonstration but at least I have some cool take aways.
