I'm posting this everywhere I have a blog, because I'm so annoyed about it:
I hate it when people that I work with fail to grasp customer service priorities. There is a stack of CDs; it needs to be put away. It is closing time. Ideally, our crew will put the stack of CDs away; however, if we do not, the staff who open the next day can. From our patrons' point of view there is no difference between these two possibilities; either way, the discs will be on the shelves by the time we open the next day.
There is a line of people waiting at the desk to be helped. It is closing time and they are the last few patrons in the building. Yes, we need to get them out of the building, but if they've been waiting in line since even slightly before closing then that's about all we can presume to ask of them. Telling them to get out now and come back tomorrow makes a huge difference in their experience. With that in mind I continue to work the desk and am told off for not putting away the stack of CDs.

I can type on a Western keyboard in French mode quite easily, but the AZERTY kind of kicked my ass. I normally type 80WPM, but on that one it's more like 5. LOL I am going to bring a keyboard with me for home, but I guess that if I get a job working with computers, then I'll need to master it.
