OK, I've never anything to say here as I've got four other places to blog if I'm inclined. I'm putting up a new picture of myself today. Hmmm... not thinking of anything else I want to write.

I just submitted my songs for consideration for use in the new videos project.

They're here if anyone fancies a listen.

It took way too long to set this up. Now I have to get ready for work. Was this really the best way to spend my morning?

No, indeed, I can think of many a worse way to spend my morning. I think the real problem is that I'm just not that into mornings in the first place. I find that the best way to spend my morning is to sleep through it.

The Waterboys is one of those bands where the only consistent member is the band leader (Mike Scott, in this case) and they can venture into quite different musical territory from album to album. Room to Roam, the album following Fisherman's Blues still has the Celtic folk-rock thing going, though it's a much more produced sounding album. The Live Adventures of the Waterboys is probably the album I've played the most during the past few months. A Rock in the Weary Land is very good, but the Celtic influence is not strong; it's more of a hard rock/gospel sound. Avoid Dream Harder and you should be OK.
