Gotta go to work in an hour, but in the meantime, I figured it'd be cool to update my journal.
So first off, I'm yet again a DJ! Sort of. I hate bearing the tag "DJ," though, so I just use my real name as my DJ name, kind of like Paul Oakenfold or Max Graham or Sander Kleinenberg. You can do that if you have a cool enough name. And I think mine qualifies. Secondly, I've finally started writing a book. I've wanted to for so long, but I could never come up with a decent storyline or characters. But I DID this morning. It was amazing. So I started writing it, and I have a nice chunk of the first chapter completed. I have no idea how long it's going to take me, but I don't care. If it takes me a year, whoopty-doo. It'll get done.
Anyway, it's called "Reaper Kaston," and it's about a third-year college student named Kaston Roe (that's 'cass-tin roh') who enters the business of contract killing after he becomes irreversibly financially screwed and can find no alternative. There are definitely parallels between the main charater's life and my life, so don't go thinking that this is some way for me to vent frustration. Nope, instead I just want to write a deep and involving book that analyzes the psyche of a semi-innocent 21-year-old who ends up acting as the Grim Reaper after certain circumstances arise. And you can count on there being plenty of kickass action sequences, as well. I've grown up around action movies and firearms and violent video games all my life, so action scenes are something that come kind of naturally for me, what with my creative imagination and all.
That's about it! Planning on hanging out with Lunna again tonight, and infinitely looking forward to it, but that has to come after I get back from work. It should end up being a nice reprieve. And apparently I don't have class tomorrow...?
