wow, i havent updated in almost a month. shit, may really flew by. im going to be 26 1/12 really soon. oh no! had a pretty good memorial weekend. i was drinking since wednesday, had to take yesterday off to recoup a bit. what did i do..what did i do...
thursday i bought a really kickass PA system, 500 watt yamaha with 2 15" speaker cabinets. loud.
friday hit the local bar and then stopped at some biker bar near my house that i never knew was such a real biker bar. like old dudes with big grey beards riding kick start rigid knuckleheads. im going to hang out there more often. my friends band was playing there, it was fun end to the night.
saturday a party at guy from work's brand new canaryville house. hada few there, then went to another party to watch UFC on the big screen outside. friend has a nice projector. royce gracie lost pretty badly to matt huges, but i figured thats how it would go.
sunday was an audition for a band. got to use my new PA. overall, i thought i did so-so. they played all original music so i had to listen to them play a few times, then get up there and try to fidn the vocal pattern and melody. eh, kinda hard. some parts i was pretty on, other parts sucked. they have to try another guy out, said they'd let me know next week.
yesterday was a family BBQ out in naperville. i drank water and pop, no beer. it was fun.
tonight im calling another band im supposed to be trying out for. they are up in the north/northwestern suburbs, kinda far. cover band, should be an easier tryout.
