Ok, tons of shit going on, so here's the recap:
-Little sister is FINALLY moved in after much lifting by me and much drama. Hopefully things will FINALLY start getting better!
-Still don't have a car. Cash is just too tight and my Netbook decided to get infected with the same "Ransomware" that nearly got Delores's computer a few months ago...except it killed mine.
I didn't have a separate profile on my machine, nor does my netbook have a DVD drive so there was no way I could install a restore disk before the "restore partition" on my hard drive was corrupted, then the entire Hard Drive was corrupted! It's a shiny bit of plastic that demands to be shipped off to Texas for 1 to 4 weeks to see if it even qualifies for a warranty repair.
So, instead she kindly bought me a new full size "entry-level" laptop!!!
It's a big screen Toshiba with a Celeron 900 2.2Ghz single core, 250gig HD, 3 gigs of ram and a memory card reader and DVD burner built in. It may sound basic to many who have Core i7 gamming rigs of doom with 21" screens, 12 hours battery life and more RAM than my first computer had hard disk space but it's worth a million bucks to me right now!! She totally gave up cash just to give me a computer
She's the greatest.
Hopefully I can figure out how to limp my old netbook along to get it sold for a few hundred bucks. Heck if I can fully repair it I'm more than willing to sell it for $225 and give her the cash to put towards a new car next paycheck!
-Had a barroom brawl break out at the theater during a private rental between several patrons, a drunk tweaker relative of the birthday girl and myself. I got stuck dealing with the cops, while my "supervisor" was busy hiding during the fight and calling Campus police on ME for throwing a punch after the instigator threw several at me before I got fed up. Sadly I can't take that along with the bullshit that every one else in the theater was ordered NOT to tell me my supervisor is resigning and that he demanded that I not be made technical director, even when I have 10 years MORE experience than anyone else on the crew, and the (remaining) crew WANT me to be the Tech Director!!
-Still unemployed. Working on that bit...
-My girl's assignment may be extended to September if she gets a particular transfer!! Very proud of her
-Still trying to get that bunny for her....
The grand plan is to, next paycheck, finally land a job, sell the old netbook after I can see if I can repair it, and to take all the cash and go nuts by getting her a new-to-her car, a Bunny, some of the Vinyl she has on hold, a big ol' thing of Dippin' Dots (especially from this cute girl that works there that she has a crush on) and even one of those cheesy Hello Kitty Mylar balloons and get a photo of the whole thing in one shot: Make it Christmas/Birthday/every other holiday combined! She deserves it so much and I'm going to make it fucking happen!

I actually got the netbook FIXED (well, almost. The OS is reinstalled and the virus is gone) So, who needs a netbook
