Ok, so I was able to scramble enough cash together to pay my back-owed cab lease (PLUS a LATE FEE!?!?! F'ing $160 just for the privilege to work). Was able to totally load up on Nyquil and pretend that I was nearly in perfect health in order to negotiate my way out of having to pay a doctor several hundred dollars just to prove I do NOT have the swine flu. Well, It sort of worked: They let me off the hook for it.
The problem is, I am STILL so doped up on various cold meds that I probably shouldn't of combined that I had to feign mechanical issues with my car simply because I couldn't see straight enough to drive home!! It was the only way I could think of taking a taxi right from the company without raising suspicion why I wasn't driving myself and why I didn't just lease a cab at that moment when I was cleared.
So, this month....instead of being a HUGE chance for me to work massive hours, has turned into a very lean month with all my bills late (including the payment for this site!) and me barely scraping by. By my estimates, this cold has cost me (with lost labour and late fees on bills) about $1520 to date.
Makes you feel very sad inside.
AND, I've got a production meeting tonight for a show that doesn't pay. Ugh.
